weight = 286 this morning. As you can see, that’s 2 lbs less than yesterday. While I’m watching my calorie intake, I also noted that depending on when I stop eating the previous day and how much salt I take in, my weight fluctuates. I’ve mentioned a few other times in the blog, that I weigh in twice a day, so over the last year or so I’ve been able to spot these trends.

I’m still on track to drop 1 or 2 pounds in a month. Blogging and noting my weight, I’m able to go back and see my progress. At times it feels like I’ve stalled, and the weight loss is slow. Looking back on my blog, I can see that exactly one month ago (4/47/2020) I was 5 lbs. heavier. Being able to track my progress in some way helps from getting depressed about the day to day slow progress.

My surgery was important to get a jump start on my weight loss and it enabled me to see very fast results for a few months. This really helped me stay positive and on track. Now that the weight loss is happening at a slower pace, noting my progress and setting short-term goals helps me a lot. My next short-term goal is 279. Hopefully in a few months I’ll get there.
