Weigh in was at 290 this morning. I’ve been working from home because of the Corona Virus . It’s spreading across the world so a lot of businesses are having employees work from home if they can. Also, all the local schools are closed. As a result, our whole family is living and working at home.
My wife and I are used to working at home together. We were both remote employees a number of years ago and are very used to working together. It’s been nice to spend a bit more time together as a family. I think I mentioned in a previous post that my commute to work is two hours each way. That’s about 20 hours a week on the train and subways of NYC.
Working from home has advantages and disadvantages for dieting. For one thing, I’m not eating out. All my meals are cooked at home, so the food I’m taking into my body is healthier. Also, when you go to a deli or restaurant, the portions are way bigger. It’s not unusual to get a deli sandwich that looks like one of these.

That’s crazy. Who needs to eat like that? This is probably more along the lines of what a sandwich looks like when I eat at home.

So, at home I have better portion control and healthier food. On the downside, you have to watch the snacking in between meals. I’ve mostly been sticking to my routine.
- small breakfast – I had two eggs and two pieces of bacon this morning
- snack – a “Too Good Yogurt”
- lunch – protein shake
- snack – a “Good Culture cottage Cheese“
- dinner – not sure yet. but it won’t be a lot
Avoid walking back and forth to the fridge. It’s too easy to just start grazing at stuff. Walk away.
