i weighed in this morning at 329. I’ve been going back and forth between 326 and 329 all week. I’m ok with my weigh in at 329 today though, because I’m “trending” downwards. There are definitely a few places I can alter my diet for the better. Not huge adjustments, but some minor changes that I feel will have some bigger impacts. Things like, no rice. Sometimes I get rice with my meals. A few days ago I ordered a shepherds pie. Naturally I couldn’t eat the whole thing, but I could have ordered something a little healthier.
I was also able to get to the gym a few times this week. I’m concentrating on cardiovascular workouts with a little weight training. I’ve been doing the treadmill and hitting the heavy bag – which is exhausting; then following up with some light weights. I feel good.
My goal is to still get down to 286 – the weight I was when I met my wife. I’m seeing some great results, but this is my time to try a bit harder and do everything I can to drop the weight. I’m told that the dramatic weight loss takes place over 12 months from the surgery. I’m already at month 3.
