Grr – had to go to a Bar-B-Q on Sunday and couldn’t eat anything! I got through it though. I started Stage thee of my diet yesterday and was able to have some yummy cottage cheese.
Weight loss seems slow for me, I’m down to 360 lbs. – 26 lbs in 19 days. Which is REALLY good – only that I want it to melt off faster. Probably a symptom of an addictive personality. I want instant gratification. I have an appointment with my weight loss Doctor today, I’ll ask if I’m losing weight as expected.
I feel like I can eat more stuff without any issues, but I’m trying to stay strict. I have to admit though, that I stole a fry off my kids plate last night. I’m a bad man.
Logging everything I eat into the Baritastic app (https://www.baritastic.com/) has helped a lot. It keeps me on track of my eating. It makes me conscious of my meal choices. It was a real eye opener when I started reading labels on products. SOUP is TERRIBLE for you. Who knew? My wife also started looking at labels since my surgery. She doesn’t have the same issues with food that I do, but she was also kind of taken aback. I think you know certain things are bad for you, but when you start reading the labels, you find out really how bad for you they are. Also, things that say “no sugar added” or “healthy” or “reduced fat” or some other health related tag line – READ THOSE LABLES. They are just as bad for you as a lot of other stuff.
