Weigh in – 289 lbs. I’ve been going between 291 and 287 for a few days. I’ve been struggling to lose these last few pounds for a few months now. I’m actually seeing some differences though and I’m sure I’ll lose this last few before mid-June.
My weight loss has clearly slowed since December, but I’ve lost about 100 lbs since this time last year. I’m happy with my loss and I intend to keep going. I’m not going to put the how many days since surgery anymore, but I’m going to keep blogging about my weight journey.

It was this time last year when I entered the hospital weighing in at 386. It’s a good time to reflect on what I could have done better in the last year, while my metabolism was in overdrive. 1) less “picking” between meals, and 2) kept logging my food in theBaritastic app. I know that some people lose a lot more weight than I did, but I’m content that I’m way more healthy that I was and made a lot of positive changes. Also .. me losing 100 lbs is nothing to sneeze at.

Looking forward, I’m planning to maintain my diet. I’m back to logging my food into Baritastic, and trying to keep around 1500 calories a day. In the last few weeks I’ve been eating a lot more vegetables and fruits, and I’m continuing to drink my protein shakes and eating yogurt for snacks. My main goal is not to put weight back on. My secondary goal is to continue losing weight.

I’ll keep you posted here

May 9, 2020 – 1 year since surgery.
